VEDIC THAI BODY WORK

History

The founder of the art is recounted in the Pali Canon, the scriptures of Theravada Buddhism, to have been Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha. He was a doctor from northern India who was the personal physician to the Magadha King Bimbisara and to the Buddha over 2,500 years ago..

Theory

Of Indian origin. The focus lies in The Ten/72,000 Sen lines and their network of Prana Nadis, In Chinese Medecine these are known as Meridians and the network of acupressure/ acupuncture points.

Working with Sen Lines through their network of Nadis (channels for prana) is proven to treat diseases or relieve pain. They access the whole body and its internal organs.

Nadis are windows into the body, key to balancing Prana or life energy

Spirit

Massage is esteemed as a spiritual practice; harmonious with the teachings of the Buddha.

It is a physical application of Metta- loving kindness and was traditionally practiced at the temple.

Practice is a meditative art, done with awareness, mindfulness and concentration. The spiritual aspect develops an energetic understanding and intuition to reestablish the smooth flow of energy in the body.
